Royal Mail are facing a £50 million fine from Ofcom for what they say is anti-competitive discrimination against customers.
The investigations found that Royal Mail abused their dominant position in bulk mail delivery.
This comes following complaints that RM raised delivery prices for certain bulk mail business in 2014.
Moreover, Jonathan Oxley, Ofcom‘s competition director, said: “All companies must play by the rules. Royal Mail’s behavior was unacceptable and it denied postal users the potential benefits that come from effective competition.”
On the other hand, It’s thought RM are going to challenge the fine as they deny breaching any laws.
